Lode Runner Arcade Finally Hits Home!!
I recently spoke with one of the members of the "MAMEDEV" team, this team is responsible for bringing so many of our favorite arcade games home to us. Because of this fact, myself and many of you out there..already owe them a great deal of gratitude. We are about to be in even greater debt to them..
During this conversation, I learned that the Lode Runner version that was released in video arcade's during the 80's by IREM, is now on its way into our homes..The Lode Runner driver has been submitted to the MAMEDEV team for inclusion in a future release of MAME (Multi Arcade Machine Emulator).
The MAME arcade emulator currently supports over 300 (old news, its now over 3000!!) classic, and perhaps some not so classic, arcade games. Most, but not all, of the supported games are fully playable and feature arcade perfect sound. For those of you who haven't experienced the thrill of reliving these great arcade games..You are missing out..
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with emulation (get out of your cave once in awhile for some air and sunshine!) , and more importantly arcade emulation..you had better get on the ball.. Or you will miss out on this historical event..If I can help you..E-mail me right away.. : )
